Our Team

Dr Aashul Patel was born in Nairobi, Kenya. He completed his formal secondary school education in Somerset, UK at Millfield School where received a scholarship for education and tennis. After having played tennis at an international level and completed his A-Levels, Dr Patel moved to Australia where he studied and attained his Bachelor of dentistry at the University of Adelaide in 2003.

Dr Patel is the principal dentist and leads the team of professionals at Parklands Dental. Together with his wife Kate, they are extremely proud of their business which employs 8 staff and looks after over 4000 people. He is a passionate dental surgeon with a keen interest in implant dentistry where he is undertaking extensive training in Sydney and Los Angeles through the world renown GIDE Institute.

He really enjoys building long term relationships with his patients and strives to make every experience at dental visit a pleasure for patients.

Dr Patel and Kate have two beautiful children, Sen and Mara and a pet cat called Bert. In his spare time he is an avid tennis player and golfer.

Dr Sophie Andrews believes in the importance of regular dental care and enjoys getting to know her patients and their families. She is passionate about helping individuals have beautiful, healthy teeth and makes patients feel comfortable through her gentle, friendly and caring manner.

Dr Andrews completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Adelaide University over 10 years ago. Sophie is a member of the ADA and regularly attends professional development courses.

Dr Andrews is passionate a bout providing quality dental care, with particular interest in preventive and aesthetic dentistry, tailoring treatment to specifically meet the needs of all members of the family.

Dr Andrews’ consulting days at Parklands Dental are Tuesday evening, Thursday and Saturday. She welcomes the opportunity to care for all new patients.

When not involved in dentistry, Sophie loves spending time with her husband, 2 young children and dog, going to local parks and beaches, as well as baking and photography.

After graduating from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2005, Michelle spent her first five years practicing on Kangaroo Island, at Mt Barker, Glenelg and Norwood, often sharing her working week across two practices. For the last 10 years Michelle worked at a practice in Linden Park where she had the opportunity to enhance her dental skills and expand them to include Invisalign orthodontics.

Michelle has volunteered her time overseas for dental organisations and has subsequently gained much experience within general dentistry. At the same time, she has had the opportunity to make a direct difference to people in remote areas who have difficulty accessing health and specifically dental care.

Michelle has a special interest in preventative and aesthetic restorative solutions, and prides herself on a holistic approach towards dental care; often calling for close liaison with dental specialists, doctors for medically compromised patients and allied health professionals.

An enthusiastic dentist who is self motivated, communicative and ensures a comfortable experience.
